Christmas in CA

Our holidays in CA were a little different than what we are used to, but we really enjoyed something different this year. They decorate everything here really cute, and I felt like we could enjoy it more that we could be outside without being bitterly cold. Addison saw Santa a couple of times while we were here, including a Breakfast with Santa and Jim. She was at the age this year where she was so excited about Christmas and Santa. We listened to the Christmas CD everytime we were in the car and talked about Santa everyday. An almost 3 year old can be very selfish when it comes to "presents", but we spent a lot of time talking about Christmas being the Birthday of Jesus and seeing him in the manger at her school and church. We also bought a present for a child who doesn't have as much to try to teach Addison the meaning of giving. She's only 2.5, so it was all about her this year! The other fun events were Addison's school Christmas Program where she sang "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and "Away in the Manger" followed by a class party. It was so cute to see her up there singing and dancing (dancing wasn't part of it, but she chose to). We opened our presents on Dec 10th and had a great day!!
