Well the delivery day finally arrived. We have been telling Addison for over a month that she would be getting a "BIG GIRL BED". She was so excited and would ask us about it all the time. Little by little the bedding arrived and she would show everybody and just keep asking "It's Addison's?" I was a nervous wreck about transitioning because she is such a fabulous sleeper both during the day and at night. We knew it was better to transition her now before the big move and there are to many other changes. Well so far so good! She slept like a champ this afternoon. Not a peep or any movement out of her during her 3.5 hour nap!!!! We still have the crib in the room until Jim takes it down this weekend. Tonight she got a little emotional and was telling us she wanted her crib, but we just kept telling her how great it is to have a big girl bed. Jim's biggest concern was her not having her music fish tank that she plays about 20 times a night. We turned on a nightlight and she did great this evening too. We are hoping this keeps up. We told her she has to call for us at nap time and in the morning so we'll see what happens tomorrow morning. Now if potty training could only be this easy!!!

BIG GIRL BED!

Spring Break
This past week was my Spring Break from school. Jim took off Monday-Wed and it was really nice having him home. Addison sure loved it. The weather wasn't so great so we didn't get to do to many outside activities as we hoped. On Tuesday we went to a local hotel who has a great indoor water park. Addison was so brave going down big slides with us and some medium sized ones by herself. Well I guess she didn't have much of a choice since we took her up and sent her on her way. She had a great time though.
In His Glory!
Anyone who knows Jim knows his die hard passion is the Chicago Cubs. He truly is in his glory due the fact that his parents got a phone call saying they had finally made it to the top of the waiting list after about 5 years of waiting for Cub's Season Tickets. Here he is holding the booklet of tickets that came to their house. It's to bad we'll be gone for more than half the season, but he'll get good use out of them before we go and the years to come.
Easter Weekend
We had a wonderful Easter Weekend down in Lombard. On Saturday, we got a lot accomplished in a short amount of time. We were able to unload a huge UHaul of things we won't be needing (or really have room for) for the year in CA into a storage unit in Lombard. We were also able to see our good friend's Dana and Mike and their new adorable baby girl Lila Rose. Then on Sunday the Easter Bunny had finally arrived. Addison found her basket, we went to church and then we enjoyed a delicious brunch at Harry Carey's with both our families together. Addison came home with so many goodies. Thanks to the Grandparents and the Easter Bunny for all she got.
